Dynamic Stability Control System

Many of the BMW's on the Schomp BMW  lot come with Dynamic Stability Control system which stabilizes your vehicle in milliseconds through a collection of innovative traction and braking technologies.  Your vehicle will continue to grip the road as the system instantaneously corrects oversteer and understeer, and skidding; as well as braking on wet roads, uphill stops, long downhills, and more.

Brake Stand-by: DSC anticipates your need to stop quickly if your foot is suddenly removed from the throttle. It then pre-tenses the brake calipers for quicker response when the brake pedal is applied.

Brake Drying: Wet brakes can take longer to stop. DSC uses a sensor to detect rain and then periodically brings the brake pads into contact with the rotors with just enough pressure to remove accumulated moisture yet not enough to apply the brakes.

Start-off Assistant: Prevents your vehicle from rolling forwards or backwards when stopped on an incline. It also holds the car momentarily while releasing the brake to move forward again.

Brake Fade Compensation: As brakes heat up from continuous or repeated braking (such as braking down a mountain road), the same pedal action becomes less effective. DSC senses this and compensates by applying more braking force with the same pedal action.
