knowned automotive book author, Jeremy Walton, traveled from London to Denver for the launch of BMW Ultimate Drives Volume 1: 1937 - 1982 at an invitation-only book signing co-hosted by Coterie Press and Schomp BMW.
Walton is an independent author who has brought benchmark BMW work to a global audience since 1972. The Brit has authored more than 30 high-end automotive books, and is a contributor to ROUNDEL, official magazine of the BMW Car Club of America. An experienced motoring journalist and former racing driver, he'll be signing copies of the Standard Edition and boxed Publisher's Limited Edition of his latest book. The first of two volumes, the elegant hardback, 208-page publication covers BMW's dream machines from 75-mph pre-war icons to 230-mph supercars of the 21st Century (all of which Walton personally drove). BMW Ultimate Drives Volume 2 will cover models from 1983 to 2011.
Many of the vehicles featured in BMW Ultimate Drives Volume 1 are owned by Coloradoans, some of whom will be on hand to meet the author and show off their classic cars, captured in 300 magnificent color photographs taken along the Front Range by William Taylor, co-founder of Coterie Press. Prices for the two versions of BMW Ultimate Drives Volume 1: Standard Edition, $69.95; signed, numbered and boxed Publisher's Edition (limited to 100), $295. Both will be available in time for holiday gift-giving in Schomp's BMW Boutique, or can be ordered online at www.coteriepress.com.
