BMW Comfort Access
Comfort Access: this feature allows keyless access to the
vehicle. The remote key need only be with the driver (in a pocket or bag for
example) while pulling on the door handle to open or touching the top of door
handle to lock. The trunk can also be opened by simply grabbing the release
handle. Once inside, the driver need only have the remote key inside the
vehicle to start the engine. If the remote key is detected inside the vehicle, after the driver uses the
handle to lock it, a safety mechanism unlocks the door to prevent inadvertently
locking oneself out. This convenience allows seamless entry, exit, and
start-off of vehicle without the need to handle the carried remote key.
