Aaron Wallace, fourth generation owner of Schomp Automotive, recently presented a check for $11,600 to the Burn Unit staff at Children's Hospital Colorado. The funds were generated during Schomp's 22nd Annual Children's Hospital Colorado Sale, held July 23 through 28 at Schomp Honda, Schomp MINI Cooper and Schomp BMW.

    Baseline Bimmer

    By: Stephen Daubert

Paying over $30,000 for an entry level BMW might seem ostentatious but after driving one for a week my mind has become trapped in an intricate calculation of numbers and feelings trying to justify the new 2012 128i. Having preconceived perceptions on the 128i did not help my situation but after spending numerous rush hours in the baseline bimmer the spunky attitude and 6 speed manual persuade me otherwise.

Providing a 230 horsepower, inline 6 cylinder, the new 128i had enough power to throw its tiny body around corners with ease. Packing this little punch…

Consumer Report, a guide which everyone uses to buy the most practical items out there, does not measure every aspect.  But that's just it, practical, yes whatever you are looking at needs to be practical but when looking at cars Consumer Report does not account for passion, soul, driving feel. These characteristics are important and could make or break a decision for most people.  When driving a car most people disregard…

    By: Stephen Daubert

No more do you have to subject yourself to beige foo-leather, boring body lines and people passing you in huge SUVs because you decided to get a car that is slow and fuel conscious. BMW has dissected the problem of fuel efficiency related to boring cars and asked, why does one have to make an unappealing slow car just to be economical? I have always been puzzled by the automakers falling into…

Schomp BMW 2013 X5 - Not your average grocery getter

    By: Stephen Daubert

Soccer moms have evolved over the years, from the original mini-van and orange slices to the massive, gas guzzling SUVs of today. The new SUVs that patrol the roads have become all too common in todays traffic infused world, offering very little in uniqueness and fuel economy. BMW has broken away from the pack to lead the charge towards a better fuel conscious SUV with the new 2013 X5.

Two turbos, a brake energy regeneration system and an 8 speed automatic transmission all help to put the new X5 leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. With…

    MotorTrend: F10 BMW M5 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds

MotorTrend test drives the new F10 BMW M5 and clocks the super sedan at 3.7 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. Without any further ado, let's take a look at an excerpt from their extensive review:

"The latest generation of M5 manages to address the daily driving issues ignored by the e60, while simultaneously blowing it out of the water in performance. Enthusiasts may wax poetic about spinning the V-10?s tachometer needle past 8000 rpm, but the rush of torque - 500 lb-ft, to be exact - created by the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 launches the big car like…
