Authentic driving pleasure is not just for the real world - as Auto Club Revolution (ACR), the new online racing game and car community for PC, demonstrates.

Different BMW M models can be configured for driving according to personal preferences. The online game from British game developer Eutechnyx features e.g. the BMW 1 Series M Coup?, the BMW M3 Coup?, the BMW M5 and the BMW Z4 M Coup?.

All that is required to play the game is a PC with an internet connection.

The long-time rumored BMW M135i revealed its front and rear-end for the first time. The upcoming super sporty F21 hatchback was spied in Germany by a reader of our sister-magazine BimmerToday.

The M135i will join the new BMW M Performance cars family and be sold along the M550d, X5 M50d and X6 M50d models. The rear-wheel drive and gasoline-powered M135i will be offered in the fall in both three and five door configuration.

Before the year-end, a BMW M135i xDrive will be launched as well.

2012 BMW 3-Series Fuel-Economy Ratings Out, 328i Scores 36 MPG Highway

The EPA just released fuel-economy ratings for the recently debuted 2012 BMW 3-series, and the numbers are very impressive-and not just for the luxury sports-sedan segment. The 328i, which is powered by a turbocharged 240-hp four-cylinder engine, is rated at 24 mpg city and 36 highway when equipped with the optional eight-speed automatic transmission. The 328i is rated at 23/34 with the six-speed manual.

These are, frankly, great numbers. You can see how the 328i's fuel economy compares to other competitive vehicles in the chart below, but let's compare apples…

BMW, Toyota to work on electric car batteries: source

German carmaker BMW and Japanese rival Toyota Motor are planning to cooperate on research into lithium-ion batteries for electric cars, a source familiar with the situation told Reuters on Tuesday.

It was also reported over the weekend that the two were in talks for a partnership on 'green' vehicles, with BMW set to provide the Japanese firm with diesel engines.

The two companies are expected to announce the cooperation at a joint press conference at 0700 GMT on Thursday in Tokyo, the source said.

BMW and Toyota both declined to comment.
