The auto industry, as most car aficionados know, is never without change, so it goes without saying that one of our favorite automakers and its highly respected new BMW lineup is switching things up as well. Notably, Schomp BMW is referring to the upcoming redesign in one of the brand's most popular family of vehicles: BMW 3 Series
In less than a year, the 3 series line will be split up with it's coupe, convertible and grand coupe reworked under a new badge. These three gorgeous upscale vehicles will make up the timeless BMW 4 Series. How could they possibly distinguish themselves from their already impressive 3 Series predecessors? A bit of style tweaking, that you can depend on from the touted German engineers.
The purpose of this tactical move rests on the basis of creating an even more luxurious image for the popular BMW family. Smoother lines, and a more defined design will prove to be a winning combination to boost the appeal. Although the coupe and convertible are most certainly going to stand apart from their earlier days, officials at BMW note that the coupe will keep it's B-pillar convertible while the convertible keeps its retractable hardtop. It's safe to say that they know what works and are not going to disappoint their loyal customers with this move.
The new BMW 4 Series line will ease into the market next summer. Before long, BMW customers in the Denver area and further can expect a full line of M Performance variants to follow under the new nameplate.
